Postpartum care of the delicate zones

産後のデリケートゾーンケアについて

Pregnancy and childbirth place a tremendous burden on women's bodies.

Information about these issues is relatively easy to obtain because there are so many books, magazines, and the Internet.

However, there is not so much information about the changes in the delicate zone after childbirth, and it may not be well known.

In this article, we will discuss what you need to know about postpartum delicate zone care.

What is the state of a woman's body immediately after childbirth?

A woman's body is in a very delicate state immediately after giving birth.

The body tries to return to its pre-pregnancy state after the birth of a baby, but the sudden changes can cause hormonal imbalance and weaken the immune system, making the body unstable.

This is the reason why it has been said since ancient times that women should not work in water immediately after childbirth.

The birth of a baby is a complete change in one's life.

It is sometimes difficult to rest your body to take care of your newborn baby, and it is easy to become mentally as well as physically unstable.

What happens to the delicate zone after childbirth?

There are many cases of pain and problems related to the delicate zone after childbirth.

In the case of normal childbirth, the vagina has many scars and is in a delicate state.

The main procedure used in normal childbirth is called a "perineotomy.

A perineotomy is a prior incision made in the area called the perineum during childbirth to make it easier for the baby's head to come out and ensure the safety of the mother and fetus.

In some cases, a laceration of the perineum occurs during childbirth.

A perineal incision may cause pain for two or three days after delivery, depending on the individual.

In some cases, even after sutures are removed, the scar may be bothersome and the pain may continue for up to a month.

After childbirth, a bleeding-like condition called "dew" continues for about a month.

The dew is the placenta and uterine lining expelled to allow the uterus to return to its original state.

Delicate zone care after childbirth

The delicate zone immediately after childbirth is more sensitive than usual due to the birth, perineal incision wounds, dew, etc. It is not possible to take a bath immediately after childbirth.

Since bathing is often not possible immediately after childbirth, it is easy for bacteria to multiply and wounds to heal, which can cause problems.

Until you are able to bathe, rinse the delicate area with a wash bottle and wipe gently with a hand towel or wet sheet.

Be careful not to scrub too hard, as this can not only damage the skin but also make it difficult for the wound to heal.

If you are using dew pads, change them frequently.

Careful care of the delicate zone and keeping it clean will also help in postpartum recovery.

Try to clean the area as carefully as possible, even for short periods of time, using special care products for the delicate zone.

In the immediate postpartum period, women are in a very nervous state due to the damage to the vagina and the delicate zone, as well as continued bleeding and pain.

Careful care is necessary because delicate zone problems are likely to occur.
